LUMA DUNE

Privacy Policy

Effective: 2026-08-01 14:20

This Privacy Policy explains how Luma Dune ("we," "us," or "our") processes personal information when you use our services.

Image processing

When you use Color Match, the source and reference images you select are uploaded to our private storage and processed by our image worker. We create upload previews, a newly encoded color-matched image in the source container format when supported (RAW files are exported as 16-bit TIFF), a WebP result preview, and the LUT files you select.

Anonymous projects and their files are retained only for the configured retention period and are then deleted. Projects saved to an account may be retained until the account or project is deleted, subject to legal, security, and backup requirements. We do not use uploaded images or generated results to train machine-learning models.

Metadata in downloaded images

The downloadable image result inherits metadata from the source file that the target format can write. This may include EXIF, XMP, and IPTC fields, GPS coordinates, capture time, camera or device identifiers, and other shooting information. We remove old embedded thumbnails and previews, replace the color profile with our sRGB v2 profile, and normalize orientation and output dimensions.

Because inherited metadata can reveal sensitive information, including where and with which device an image was created, inspect the downloaded file before sharing it.

If the target format cannot store individual metadata fields, the result may be completed with a metadata_partial warning. A failure of the metadata tool or a failure to preserve required page or animation structure causes the job to fail instead of silently exporting a reduced result.

Other information

We may process account and contact details, security logs, IP addresses, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, and service interaction events to operate, secure, support, and improve the service, comply with law, and prevent abuse.

We use service providers for hosting, private object storage, email, analytics, and operational support where needed. They may process information only for the contracted service and under applicable safeguards.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to, restrict, or request a portable copy of your personal information, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may submit a privacy request through our Contact page or complain to your local data-protection authority.

This version is effective when published. Material changes will be published as a new version and, where required, presented for notice or consent.
